Hallelujah! We’re back on prime power!

After several days of this, we’re a little reluctant to jump the gun on things, but it appears at this very moment that our power has been restored.

We can still hear portable generators running in the neighborhood, but our standby unit has shut down.  Yet we have normal power to all household items.

Thanks to all those that worked hard to see that our infrastructure was restored to “normal” service levels, whatever that might mean in this situation.

We learn from this experience that it doesn’t take a hurricane or a massive winter storm to unscrew all those things we take for granted in the way of electricity, and the various forms of communications we depend on, whether we realize it or not.

Thanks again, those who have restored a sense of normalcy to our lives.
