Briefly, the purpose of this post is to provide an update on the status of the relationship between Amtrak/NNEPRA and the Brunswick West Neighborhood Coalition regarding the proposed construction of a Maintenance and Layover Facility adjacent to the in-town Bouchard Drive neighborhood.
Click on this link, and you’ll find a letter sent by their Attorney to the Federal Railroad Authority a few days ago. The first four pages document the lack of good faith on the part of NNEPRA in dealing with those affected by the proposed facility construction.
Then there are 18 pages of the time-line best suited to the interested ‘student.’ Last is the civil complaint filed regarding the flawed permitting process by DEP and NNEPRA for storm-water management at the site, which only adds to the bad faith perception.
But if you really think about it, Amtrak, thy name IS ‘bad faith.’
