A standing ovation for the Maine State Music Theater's production of "Crazy for You." And that's exactly what they got, and as wild a one as I can recall in the more than 50 productions the Poppycocks have attended at the Theater.
It's loaded with memorable music, energetic production numbers, a perfectly talented cast, and a classic musical comedy type story line. It's exactly what many of us are looking for in the way of summer theater diversion in the musical comedy vein. It's a marked contrast to "Light in the Piazza," which was well done, but simply nowhere near as engaging.
Now if MSMT could just do something about those who choose to smoke at intermission within steps of the theater entrance and the refreshment stand, Other Side could give another standing O.
